The abstracts should be sent by June 14th,
2024
One page pdf format
abstract, file name as "NAME_Varenna22_abstr.pdf" following word or
latex templates used for IOP proceedings papers (remove everything
except title, authors, affiliations, abstract body and references). Use IOP
proceedings link here for the template:

Submit to Jonathan Graves here:
POSTERS
The poster board (made of cork)
is 150cm wide and 100cm high. Printing on to A0-landscape would be ideal. A0-portrait will work, but there will be
about 20cm of poster at the bottom that can’t be attached (so be warned that if
printing to A0-portrait the poster may tend to curl at the bottom after rolling
in a carrying tube). Attaching pins
supplied. Electronic copies of the posters do not need to be submitted to the
conference, and authors may choose their formatting.
SPECIAL ISSUE
PROCEEDINGS PAPERS
Conference papers will be published in Plasma Physics
and Controlled Fusion (PPCF). There will
be no other outlet for proceedings. In
order to optimise the quality and quantity of proceedings, we have negotiated
with PPCF the concept of (partial) open refereeing, thus continuing the
traditions of the Varenna conference.
Manuscripts will be published as cluster of papers
related to the Varenna-Lausanne Theory of Fusion
Plasmas 2024 Conference, supervised by Editors P. Helander
and J. P. Graves. They will appear
online soon after acceptance. Follow the
guidelines
(and LaTeX/Word templates) of PPCF and submission to PPCF is here (select special
issue when submitting: Special issue on
the 2024 joint Varenna-Lausanne International
Workshop on the Theory of Fusion Plasmas)
Invited Speakers are expected to submit by the end of 2024. If the manuscripts are ready in time for the
conference itself, the speakers may follow the process listed below for poster
presenters.
Contributed poster presenters should send a draft of their paper to Varenna-Lausanne by Monday
August 26th 2024. The
guest editors of the special issue will identify a single referee for each paper. This referee will be attending the
conference. Open discussions will take
place between authors and referees during the conference. After the conference, before the end of 2024,
the author will submit their updated paper to PPCF together with the referee
report and the details of the referee.
PPCF will seek an additional anonymous referee. Acceptance of the manuscript will be afforded
according to the reporting of the known and anonymous referee. Please send your draft manuscripts by August
26th 2024 to:
